Service Provider Manager

 

Position Summary

The Service Provider Manager is responsible for the growth and retention of a qualified network of Service Providers within a defined geographical region. Negotiate and work with service providers to establish relationships and partnerships creating a mutual benefit for the Company and the independent business owner. The Service Provider Manager has an overarching goal to ensure service providers understand their contractual requirements drive the total cost of ownership out of the Service Provider base while improving product/service quality to clients. Responsible for managing contracts (labor rates) with new and established Service Providers. This professional will support the service centers and the SP acting as a liaison with service providers at the strategic level for service delivery of these trades. Additional responsibilities include reviewing KPI performance with SP’s for continued improvement resulting in additional work.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.

Territory Management - Retention and recruitment of independent service contractors providing emergency repair service and scheduled maintenance services for all trades, including but not limited to HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and locks for our national facilities management contracts

Contract Compliance and Pricing – Ensure independent contractors understand terms of the agreement, meet the required license/certification/insurance requirements and consistently comply with requirements supporting customer and company initiatives such as mobile utilization. Negotiate competitive labor rates and material mark up between the Company and the independent Service Providers.

 

3.

Partnership and Performance Reviews – Conduct reviews based on KPI’s and quality control audits of workmanship and compliance of requirements and contract terms. Address service/performance issues identified by our mutual customers and employees managing the customer relationships.

Capacity Planning – Working with the Service Provider, identify technical capabilities of the company; number and skill level of technicians; and service vehicle fleet size to evaluate percentage of additional business they are capable of adding to their existing business.

SP Migration with new customers – working with the business units to develop and execute plans to migrate new customer incumbent providers to our standard agreement and requirements.

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 – 8 years of experience in vendor management and contract negotiation or service related sales
  • Supply chain knowledge, specific with trade sourcing expertise
  • Facility Maintenance or experience with HVAC/R, plumbing and electrical services experience a plus
  • Ability to work from a home-based office
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); technical aptitude to work within additional software applications
  • Strong financial, analytical and business acumen

Travel

The position requires regular travel. The annual rate of travel is up to 60%.
