Job Description

The Commercial HVAC Traveling Foremen will perform and oversee all activities at assigned job sites.  This includes being responsible for job quality, job cost management, safety, field employee training and supervision.  The Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the work of all job site apprentices and subcontractors.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Must possess sufficient knowledge of HVAC construction industry terminology and work practices.
  • Must be organized to ensure all materials and tools needed for jobs are properly staged in advance.
  • Must be able to work overtime to meet customer requirements.  Some customer jobs will require in excess of 10 hours per day and/or forty hours per week.
  • Must be capable of determining all materials needed for job in advance to minimize additional purchase and delivery expenses on job.
  • Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be capable of establishing and communicating job goals to subordinates and ensuring that all goals are achieved successfully.
  • Must be able to delegate and supervise job site apprentices and subcontractors to ensure all work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Must have thorough understanding of OSHA requirements.
  • Must ensure good safety practices are consistently followed on all company job sites. 
  • Must possess strong communication skills to communicate methods and expectations to on site staff and to present professional image to customers.
  • Must be able to travel.  Will be required to work at job sites that are located a considerable distance from company headquarters.  Travel may include staying out of town for several weeks at a time.
  • Must possess clean driving record and have ability to drive to job site locations.
