JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a candidate who has strong hands on technical skills as well as leadership skills and thrives in a fast paced, high intensity environment. The main focus of this position will be to develop and support solutions that fit the business model and needs, as well as do what it takes to support the end-users of the business. We are looking for someone that takes a proactive approach to support rather than the traditional reactive role. In this position, you will manage and direct the organization toward its primary technological objectives, by performing the following duties personally and through the IT/IS support team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce systems, policies and procedures.
- Act as senior level technical support to provide technical guidance and assistance to End Users and other members of the IT Team.
- Develop and/or improve internal IT processes.
- Develop IT budgets and present proposals for capital projects to Management Committee.
- Coordinate with business teams to analyze technology requirements and service level agreements.
- Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
- Negotiate service level agreements with both internal and external customers and service providers; monitor service delivery to ensure target and standards are met.
- Research and identify industry trends and recommend new products and services.
- Develop IT timelines and complete projects related to installs or upgrades for servers, network equipment, telephone equipment, desktop and mobile technologies, etc.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning implementation, testing and annual review updates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of supervisory/management in IT
- Knowledge of virtual environment technology and an in-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and techniques
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Microsoft, VMware and Citrix certifications desired
