Reports To: Project Manager
Position Summary
The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager with the planning, coordination, and execution of concrete, masonry, and structural restoration projects. This entry- to mid-level position is intended for individuals seeking long-term career advancement within the company. The role provides hands-on exposure to both field operations and project administration, with a defined internal promotion path to Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager based on performance, capability, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Support & Coordination
- Assist the Project Manager with daily project activities
- Maintain project documentation including drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports
- Help Project Manager coordinate with engineers, architects, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers
Field Support
- May require regular site visits to observe work in progress and verify compliance with plans and repair details
- Assist superintendents and foremen with field coordination and issue resolution
- Assist with documenting existing conditions, progress, and unforeseen site conditions
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, field measurements, and material tracking
Schedule & Cost Support
- Assist with updating project schedules and tracking milestones
- Track labor, material, and equipment usage
- Assist with subcontractor pricing, pay applications, and change order documentation
Quality & Safety
- Support quality control for concrete, masonry, waterproofing, and structural repair work
- Assist with inspections, testing coordination, punch lists, and closeout items
- Support and promote jobsite safety procedures
Project Closeout
- Assist with compiling as-built drawings, warranties, testing reports, and closeout documentation
Career Growth & Internal Promotion
- This position is part of the company’s internal promotion pipeline to fill a project management role
- Project Engineers who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and leadership are given priority consideration for advancement
- Opportunities for promotion into Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager roles are filled from within whenever possible

Qualifications
- Must be self-driven with excellent comprehension skills
- 0–5 years of construction experience; restoration experience a plus
- Ability to read and interpret construction and repair drawings
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore a plus.
Work Requirements
- Internal Position but presence on active construction sites will be required at times.
- Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, and in varying weather conditions.
