As a Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage multiple projects of varying complexities, collaborating with diverse subcontractors, mentoring and guiding project staff, and spearheading the successful execution of unique and challenging initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Directs and oversees construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Management of multiple large scale construction projects to ensure project budget, schedule and quality exceed the customer’s requirements.
  • Serves as the main point of contact between owner, owners’ representation, and contractor.
  • Manages multiple levels of relationships key project stakeholders including Owner, Owners Representation, Subcontractors, Community leaders, Design Team, etc.
  • Investigates and makes recommendations for the resolution of critical project-related issues
  • Engages and ensures a partnership with field management staff.
  • In alignment with the project superintendent(s) Creates and maintains the Project Master Schedule.
  • Works as a team member in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the building process from hiring contractors to working with engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Supports the project procurement efforts, including providing estimating assistance and participating in proposal preparation.
  • Continually works with Business Development and Marketing to promote Lydig and sell our services. Helps identify upcoming projects that best suit our company
  • Takes leadership role in the development of proposals, SOQ’s, and marketing information for owners and architects
  • A proven leader, including willingness to volunteer for our community, and/or industry association events.
  • Identifies and proactively acts to reduce the risks associated with Site Staffing, Equipment Utilization, Labor and Non-Labor issues
  • Teaches, develops and mentors staff.
  • Assists with the recruitment, hiring and training of new staff

 

Qualifications

Job Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management highly preferred or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in Construction Management, including managing commercial construction project of $20mm or greater
  • Alternative delivery experience preferred (GC/CM, Design-Build, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Fully experienced and proficient in all aspects of project management and estimating and must have a history of meeting or exceeding annual revenue and profit goals
  • Focused on customer service with a demonstrated track record
  • Desire to support peers and other team members including willingness to mentor and train others

Physical Abilities

  • Must be able to visit various job sites including active construction sites, be able to climb ladders and stairs and stand for several hours at a time
  • Vision must be adequate to evaluate working conditions and read detailed documents

Other Requirements

  • Current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as defined by Lydig’s insurance company and vehicle policy, if applicable for auto allowance
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment checks including a Drug Screen, Criminal Background and possibly Credit check
  • Lydig is a drug free workplace, and all employees are considered to be in “safety sensitive” positions. All employees will be tested for controlled substances, including cannabis.

 

The salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $135,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
