NCS is seeking an experienced Security Systems Programmer to support access control and CCTV installations across the Houston market. This role is responsible for programming, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting integrated security systems while partnering with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and configure access control and video surveillance systems (hardware and software)
- Troubleshoot system issues including programming errors, network connectivity, and hardware failures
- Support project teams during system design and implementation, including recommending hardware and software solutions
- Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams
- Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, programming, and project records
- Travel to job sites to support installations, commissioning, and closeout as needed
- Ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with material budgets
- Maintain current industry knowledge, certifications, and best practices
- Represent NCS with professionalism and deliver a high level of customer service
- Operate a company vehicle as required
Performance Expectations
- Systems fully operational and delivered on schedule
- Customer sign-off within five days of project completion
- Material and equipment availability aligned with project timelines
- Projects completed within approved material budgets
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of experience programming and troubleshooting security systems
- Strong working knowledge of the following platforms:
- AMAG
- Bosch
- Open Options
- Avigilon
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven problem-solving ability
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor environments
- Use of appropriate PPE including hard hats and steel-toed boots when required
