MEICON is hiring Project Managers for a renowned NYC Based Contractor
specializing in Transit (MTA, LIRR, Amtrak) and School Construction (SCA,
DASNY) Projects. As a Project Manager, the individual will be part of an ever-growing

Skills & Responsibilities :
- Responsible for supervising, monitoring, and managing construction activities
to ensure the professional outcome of the assigned project.
- The Candidate must possess project management, design management, and
construction management experience with MTA or School Construction
Projects of varying sizes and complexity.
- Assist in defining initial project scope and expectations with the Project
stakeholders/consultants; contribute to vendor review and selection.
- Maintain a safe environment during construction activity for employees, vendor
staff, and the public by following procedures, standards, and practices set forth
by the company and other local community and governmental agencies.
- Cross functionally consults with various stakeholders throughout the duration
to ensure the progression meets the client’s requirements.
- Establish, communicate, implement, and monitor the Project Schedule;
recommend and implement modifications to improve project progress as
necessary.
- Effectively coordinate and interface with local and state officials to avoid or
minimize disruptions to the Public.
- Manage permit filing and code compliance issues.
- Develop and analyze reports on the progress of construction, materials used,
and costs.
- Monitor quality and cohesiveness with existing infrastructure.
- Uphold performance guarantees.
- Review requests for changes and monitor against budget.
- Review all change orders for relevancy and fair pricing.
- Collaborate with Finance, and Supply Chain functions to ensure appropriate
and timely payments.
- Maintain oversight of material delivery, contract administration, and labour.
- Adequate and efficient forecasting and management of budgets.
- Successfully deliver the projects on schedule with exemplary standards.
Requirements And Qualifications :
- Must have a bachelor’s degree.
- Higher degree in Architecture/Construction Management preferred.
- Ten years of construction management experience; strong history of overall
construction management experience is preferred.
- Capacity to navigate various construction project phases, from demolition to
completion.
- Ability to work in a team environment and with outside vendors as needed.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience handling projects independently.
- A New York State Professional Engineering license is desirable.
- Computer proficiency: AutoCAD, MicroStation, Primavera, P6, Revit, Data
Analysis (Pivot Tables), Microsoft Office.
