The Director of Business Development will serve as a senior leader within the organization, partnering closely with company leadership to support pursuit strategy, pricing, and new business development.

Key responsibilities include:

Pre-Construction & Estimating Leadership

  • Work closely with the team on conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimates
  • Support bid strategy, pricing reviews, and risk evaluation
  • Provide constructability input and value-engineering support during pursuits

Business Development & Marketing Support

  • Assist in marketing and selling the company to new and existing clients
  • Participate in client meetings, proposal development, and pursuit strategy
  • Support identification and development of new business opportunities
  • Represent the firm professionally with owners, developers, architects, and partners

Market Expansion & Travel

  • Travel as part of the role to support growth initiatives, including Florida, Texas, and Richmond, VA
  • Support leadership in evaluating and expanding into new and existing markets

Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of construction industry experience preferred
  • Experience with a General Contractor or developer
  • Exposure to value engineering, constructability reviews, and cost analysis
  • Familiarity with multiple project delivery methods (design-build, negotiated, CM at risk, hard bid)
  • Comfortable supporting proposal development, client presentations, and pursuit strategy
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
