This is a skilled position requiring the Front-End Loader Operator to load raw material/aggregate into cold feed surge bins to ensure a continuous plant operation. Other duties include general laboring, plant maintenance, loading mix into customer vehicles, and keeping stockpiles separated.

Work Environment:
This position is exposed to all types of outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, dust, and fumes. The operator works around moving conveyor belts, laborers, and dump trucks. The noise level is usually very loud. Personal protective equipment is provided.

Schedule:
Based on production needs, this position may work days (Monday to Friday) or overnight (Sunday night to Friday morning). Weekly overtime of 50+ hours is common.

Duties:

• Operate a large, 4-wheel drive front-end loader safely and efficiently to load infeed bins
• Work safely around equipment, vehicles, and people
• Help load mix into customer trucks
• Inspect the quality of incoming raw material to ensure it meets company standards
• Keep aggregate and mix stockpiles organized
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance; report major issues
• Assist with asphalt plant operations and maintenance
• Complete general labor tasks like shoveling, cleaning, and greasing
• Help with other duties as needed

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years or older
• Regular dependable attendance
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Experience operating a front-end loader safely and efficiently
• Experience operating a skid steer loader safely
• Above average mechanical skills
• Able to use hand tools for light repair and maintenance

WORK SCHEDULE

• Able to work 12+ hours per day
• Able to work overtime, including weekends
• Available to work overnight as needed
