Job Title: Civil Construction Foreman (Traveling)
Company: Gregory Construction
Location: Central, Southwest & Southeast U.S. (Travel Required)

About Gregory Construction

Gregory Construction is a heavy civil contractor focused on production, safety, and doing the work right the first time. We self-perform critical scopes on infrastructure projects across multiple regions and rely on strong field leadership to keep crews moving and jobs on track. Our teams are built around accountability, communication, and consistent performance in the field.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Civil Foreman who knows how to run work—not just watch it. This is a working leadership role responsible for keeping crews productive, coordinating with the Superintendent, and making sure daily operations stay ahead of schedule. If you’ve led crews in roadway, drainage, or site work, you understand the importance of planning ahead, managing people and equipment, and solving problems before they slow production.

This is a traveling position supporting projects across the Central, Southwest, and Southeast U.S. You’ll move with the work, lead from the front, and be expected to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards across changing job sites. This role is best suited for someone who takes ownership of their crew and takes pride in delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily crew operations with a focus on production, safety, and quality
  • Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and workflow
  • Work alongside the crew when needed to keep production on pace
  • Communicate directly with the Superintendent on progress, needs, and issues
  • Track quantities, productivity, and complete daily reports and timesheets
  • Ensure proper use, care, and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Identify and resolve issues before they impact schedule or performance
  • Enforce company safety policies and jobsite standards

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of civil construction experience
  • At least 1 year leading crews as a Foreman or Lead
  • Experience in roadway, drainage, grading, milling, or paving operations
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness and ability to travel and relocate with projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and crew management skills

Preferred

  • OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience on DOT or large-scale civil projects

What We’re Looking For

  • Foremen who keep crews productive and jobs moving
  • Leaders who take ownership and don’t wait for direction
  • Strong communicators who can manage both crews and expectations
  • Reliable field leaders who show up ready to perform

Why Gregory Construction?

  • Steady work across multiple regions
  • Travel opportunities with consistent project flow
  • Field-driven culture that values strong leadership
  • Benefits including PTO, health/dental, and 401(k) match
