IMCOR is seeking an experienced Pipefitter Journeyman  with hands-on experience installing refrigeration piping and starting up split-system A/C units. This position supports commercial mechanical projects and requires strong pipefitting skills, refrigeration piping knowledge, and the ability to work independently from drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Install refrigeration piping for commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Measure, cut, fit, braze, and assemble copper piping systems.
  • Install piping for split-system and related A/C equipment.
  • Perform pressure testing, leak testing, evacuation, and system preparation.
  • Assist with startup and commissioning of split-system A/C units.
  • Read mechanical drawings, piping layouts, and equipment specifications.
  • Coordinate installations with HVAC, electrical, controls, and other trades.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of commercial pipefitting or mechanical construction experience preferred.
  • Refrigeration piping installation experience required.
  • Experience with startup of split-system A/C equipment strongly preferred.
  • Strong brazing, fitting, piping-layout, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigeration piping practices.
  • Ability to read mechanical plans and piping drawings.
  • EPA certification preferred based on assigned responsibilities.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Experience

  • Commercial HVAC and refrigeration piping systems.
  • VRF/VRV, split-system, and multi-zone equipment.
  • Copper refrigeration piping and brazed connections.
  • Nitrogen purging during brazing and pressure testing.
  • Equipment startup and commissioning.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
