Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Stair & Railing Fabricator/Installer to join our team. This position is focused primarily on the layout, fabrication, fitting, and installation of custom metal stairs, railings, handrails, guardrails, platforms, ladders, and other miscellaneous metals. The ideal candidate has proven experience working with structural steel and aluminum and can independently read blueprints, perform layouts, fabricate components, complete field installations, and troubleshoot fit up or site related challenges with minimal supervision. Strong welding, fitting, and problem solving skills are essential, along with a commitment to producing high-quality miscellaneous metals.
Responsibilities
- Steel Fabrication: Fabricate custom miscellaneous metals products (stairs, railing, ladders, catwalks, etc.) using steel and aluminum based on shop drawings.
- Welding and Cutting: Operate welding equipment, cutting tools, grinders, pipe benders, and other fabrication machinery.
- Assembly and Construction: Assemble fabricated steel components in the shop, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Installation: Install fabricated metals onsite, ensuring quality fit and alignment.
- Equipment: Working with cranes, scissors lifts, forklifts.
- Collaboration: Communicate with Production Supervisor, Project Managers and other team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment both in the shop and on jobsites.
- Safety: Abides by all OSHA and Agar/Houck safety guidelines, working in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Qualifications
- 5 years experienced in steel and/or aluminum fabrication of miscellaneous metals including stairs, railing, ladders, gates, etc.
- Proficient in MIG welding, certification is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and shop sketches independently.
- Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Demands
Physical demands are based on the ability to perform the following actions throughout a 8-hour period of work 5 days a week.
- Exert oneself physically over long periods of time.
- Bend stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, and other extremities.
- Use one’s abdominal muscles and lower back to lift continuously over time without fatiguing.
- Exert maximum muscle force to lift, pull, or carry objects up to 100 pounds on occasion, and up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Keep or regain one’s body balance or stay upright.
- Quickly move the arms and legs.
- Make fast and repeated movements of the body, fingers and hands.
- Keep the hand and arm steady while making a movement.
- Quick, coordinated movements of one hand to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.
- Coordinate movements of two or more limbs together while sitting, standing, or lying down.
- Stand and walk throughout an extended workday.
- Use legs, hands and arms on a consistent basis for manual labor.

Work Environment
Shop and field to include new construction, existing buildings, residential, etc.
Full-Time, Year-Round Position
Regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with overtime opportunities available when workload allows. Enjoy steady work and primarily local projects with minimal travel.
