Summary: 

Accountable to the Operations Presidents for leading the implementation and continued development of the Nabholz Quality Management System (QMS) within an assigned geographical area or for specific projects. The Quality Management Director position is a support role and not an enforcement position. The Quality Management Director will be accountable for establishing and managing an effective audit process however, which is meant to determine the effectiveness of the QMS program while looking for areas that need additional support in implementing the Nabholz QMS program. This position will require extensive travel which can be planned and scheduled under most circumstances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop an effective application of the existing Nabholz QMS process for all specialty groups (Service, Excavation, Pre-Construction, etc.).
  • Reports on the performance of Nabholz Quality Management System to the Operations Round Table and Operations Presidents
  • Meets periodically with the Operations Round Table and Operations Presidents to review quality issues and the effectiveness of project-specific Quality Management System
  • Supports project teams in overall management of project quality policies and procedures
  • Supports project teams in identifying project-specific requirements and appropriate resources
  • Trains and assists with development and implementation of project-specific Quality Management System. Regarding specific quality issues, assesses the need for additional procedures, tests, third party oversight, or other appropriate actions
  • Identifies training needs and coordinates training resources
  • Provides updates and revisions to this Quality Management System
  • Conducts quality analysis of projects
  • Develops and makes informative presentations for Nabholz employees and subcontractors on quality related techniques, processes, and similar topics
  • Participates in pre-installation meetings with project teams and subcontractor
  • Oversees the collection and storage of quality documentation
  • Participates in the Quality Assurance Task Force
  • Participates in ACIG Quality Peer Group Meetings
  • This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes.
  • This position requires driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the company or a company vehicle; therefore, the applicant must successfully complete a motor vehicle records check, possess, and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, and immediately self-report convictions/violations/tickets to the DOT Compliance Specialist as per Company Policy. Any negative change in the status of the employee’s driving record may result in the revocation of the employee’s privilege to drive for the company.
  • All other tasks as assigned.

Education/Skill Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in commercial construction methods, techniques, processes, and sequences.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or similar field of study.
  • Have a thorough understanding of plans and specs (both hard copy and digital) used in commercial construction.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to continuously sit, stand, or walk.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in heat or cold, work outside, and work in high elevations.

 Work environment:

  • Office, cubicle, workstation, or job sites/trailers.
