ENTERPRISE APPLICATION IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER

The Enterprise Applications Implementation Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing enterprise application implementations from project initiation through stabilization. Working under the direction of the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications, this role serves as the central coordinator for implementation activities, manages project schedules and dependencies, facilitates communication across business and technical teams, and supports successful solution adoption. The role executes established deployment methodologies, governance processes, and implementation standards to deliver projects on schedule, within agreed scope, and with minimal disruption to business operations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience coordinating enterprise software implementations, technology projects, or business system deployments.
  • Experience managing project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and implementation documentation.
  • Experience coordinating enterprise software implementations involving business, IT, and vendor or implementation partners.
  • Experience supporting implementation activities across multiple phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, testing, deployment, cutover, and stabilization.

Preferred: 

  • Experience with ERP, HCM, CRM, financial, construction, or other enterprise business applications.
  • Experience with SaaS or cloud-based enterprise applications and third-party implementation partners.
  • Experience supporting organizational readiness, change management, user acceptance testing, training coordination, cutover planning, or post-production stabilization.
  • Experience working within established project governance, software implementation, or systems development lifecycle methodologies.
  • PMP, CAPM, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, Prosci, or comparable project, Agile, or change management certification.
  • Experience with project and work management platforms such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools..

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and project or work management tools, with the ability to quickly learn enterprise applications and implementation technologies.
  • Ability to maintain clear, accurate project plans, status reports, decision records, implementation logs, and other project documentation.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementation Planning & Coordination:

  • Coordinate planning and execution activities for assigned enterprise application implementations from project initiation through stabilization.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, action items, and implementation documentation.
  • Track project progress, identify potential impacts to schedule or scope, and communicate status, decisions, risks, and next steps to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities among business stakeholders, Product Managers, Business Analysts, technical resources, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Facilitate project meetings and working sessions, document outcomes and decisions, and coordinate follow-up activities.

Deployment & Organizational Readiness:

  • Support deployment readiness planning in partnership with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate business readiness activities, including user acceptance testing, communications, training coordination, cutover planning, and stabilization activities.
  • Facilitate deployment readiness reviews using established governance processes, readiness criteria, and implementation standards.
  • Coordinate production deployment activities and support transition of implemented solutions to application support following stabilization.
  • Track readiness actions and dependencies and communicate unresolved items to appropriate stakeholders for resolution or escalation.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Monitor project risks, issues, resource constraints, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Recommend mitigation strategies and support resolution of implementation issues through effective coordination and follow-through.
  • Escalate significant project risks, resource constraints, dependencies, and implementation issues to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications, for prioritization and resolution.
  • Maintain implementation logs, risk and issue records, decision records, and other project documentation needed to support effective governance.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Coordinate implementation activities with software vendors and implementation partners, including schedules, deliverables, dependencies, meetings, and follow-up actions.
  • Facilitate clear, timely communication among business, IT, vendors, and implementation partners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support alignment on project expectations, responsibilities, decisions, and next steps across participating teams.
  • Support resolution of implementation issues through coordination, communication, documentation, and appropriate escalation.

Governance, Documentation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Apply established deployment methodologies, templates, governance processes, and implementation standards to assigned projects.
  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, status reporting, decision records, readiness information, and implementation artifacts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve deployment processes and recommend practical enhancements within established standards and governance.
  • Document and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement of future implementations and organizational knowledge.

Additional duties as assigned:

  • Participate in Lean improvement efforts and workflow optimization.
  • Participate in enterprise and departmental initiatives that support organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts that enhance governance, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support cross-functional projects, system implementations, and organizational change management activities as assigned.
  • Maintain current knowledge of governance, risk management, compliance, cybersecurity, and regulatory trends through ongoing professional development.
  • Represent McGough on internal committees, working groups, or industry forums as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet evolving business and organizational needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL:

  • Office:    Various jobsites and/or corporate/regional office.
  • Travel:    Ability to travel to project locations, including extended out-of-town assignments when required.

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee’s workstation and during meetings as well as while traveling, either by plane or car. Occasionally, employee will be required to visit construction job sites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.

Please note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth. Additionally, McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. This includes insurance coverage for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
