Millwork Coordinator

Role Summary

The Millwork Coordinator supports the Woodworking Director by providing excellent customer service and assisting in all primary aspects of project operations to ensure custom millwork projects are completed on time and on budget. Acting as a key operational liaison between project managers, outside clients, shop leads, and procurement, this in-person role oversees purchase orders, shop documentation, material compilation, and outgoing order logistics. 


Primary Responsibilities

Process incoming purchase orders for subcontract millwork 

  • Direct point of contact for subcontract millwork for purchase orders. Work with outside project managers to collect all necessary project information in job folders. 

  • Use PO as starting point for itemized pricing; Use and maintain pricelist for standard products; Create Estimates for custom projects; send acknowledgements. 

  • Create Sage jobs; set and export Sage budgets. 

  • Create shop work-order for each project. Markup DFA’s, review shop drawings for missing information. 

  • Compile site materials for clients 

  • Create hardware request for submission to Procurement 

  • Prepare allocation sheet, site list, and kit labels 

Process shop information for Architectural Millwork projects  

  • Work with Project Managers to ensure that FM specifications are up to date 

  • Compile shop information for each architectural millwork project, including specifications, cutlists, drawings, SOP, and labels 

  • Prepare installation instructions and drawings for Site (GC) 

  • Prepare and submit material purchase requests for project-specific wood, hardware, and purchased items (e.g. screen and storm inserts, balusters)  

Process outgoing orders 

  • Reconcile dimensions, physical checks 

  • Generate shipping sheets 

  • Work with BWC PM or SL client, confirm delivery details, prepare and request shipping 

  • Follow up with BWC PM or clients/SL with delivery expectations 

Shop Support/Assistance 

  • Document support 

  • Trouble-shooting DFAs/shop drawings 

System improvements as needed  

  • Update and Maintain shop SOPs with input from QDIPs, shop leads, and WW director. 


The Ideal Candidate Has

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing or woodworking shop environment. 

  • Natural aptitude for math and familiarity with basic accounting and budgeting functions. 

  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel). 

  • Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., Sage) and CAD/drawing review tools. 

  • The desire to learn & apply innovative green building techniques. 


Essential Role Functions

  • Full-time, in-person position based at Bensonwood’s office, yard, and woodworking shop in Walpole, NH. 

  • Ability to work comfortably across both office settings and active shop floor environments. 

  • Ability to use hands to handle, control, or inspect millwork materials and shop assemblies. 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically when handling hardware, sample materials, or site kits. 

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Positive team player with a systems philosophy and the flexibility to perform other duties as assigned or shift responsibilities as needed. 

  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area. 


Compensation & Benefits 

  • Salary Range: $24-28.85 hourly
