Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Water Truck and Snowcat Operators to support a long-term above-ground pipeline construction projects in Northern Alberta. The scope of work includes above-ground pipeline construction, frost road and utility work, mainline welding support, stringing, fabrication, and equipment operation. We are specifically seeking candidates with experience operating Snowcats and Water Trucks, as well as labourers with construction or oilfield experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support above-ground pipeline construction activities.
  • Operate Snowcats, dozers, and water trucks to support frost road access and winter construction activities.
  • Perform general labour duties as required across various areas of the project.
  • Assist with mainline welding crews and pipeline construction activities.
  • Support frost road and utility work.
  • Assist with pipe stringing, shoe crews, and fabrication crews.
  • Hook up and handle slings, hoses, and other equipment as required.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and positioning materials and equipment.
  • Follow direction from supervisors and operators to support safe and efficient work.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all site safety procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the project and crew.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in pipeline construction, oilfield, or industrial construction.
  • Experience operating Water Trucks and/or Snowcats is required for equipment operator positions.
  • Experience operating dozers or other heavy equipment is an asset.
  • General construction or pipeline labour experience is required for labourer positions.
  • Experience with frost road construction, utility work, pipe stringing, welding support, fabrication, or pipeline construction is an asset.
  • Ability to safely handle and connect slings, hoses, and related equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather and winter conditions.
  • Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow site procedures and direction.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an established crew.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test including cannabis.
