Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives is seeking an IT - Information Technology Student Intern for Summer 2027. 

Responsibilities & Duties:

This position will assist Buckeye Power IT staff with a variety of projects for Buckeye Power and Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives, including assisting in the performance of the following tasks:

• Computer hardware and software deployment
• End user support
• Asset inventory management
• Workstation imaging
• Client patching and vulnerability mitigation
• Review of system alerts and incident response
• Create and update documentation
• Application development and report creation
• Other projects as assigned

Position Requirements:

Education:   Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree program.

Experience: No prior work experience required.

Knowledge:  A general knowledge of computers and data processing techniques.

Abilities & Skills:  Strong oral and verbal communications skills.  Must be self-motivated; ability to organize work, fulfill defined projects; must be comfortable asking questions when uncertain or unclear about work projects.  Must be dependable and able to demonstrate a sense of responsibility and urgency.

Working Conditions:  All work will be conducted at the Buckeye Power corporate office location.  The Intern will be exposed to typical business office conditions and noise levels.
