The Comfort Group is a leading HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Sheetmetal Contractor serving the greater Nashville area for the past 50 years.

We are currently seeking a full time Safety Manager to work in our Huntsville, Alabama office.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Environmental Health, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible safety management experience in construction environments.

Professional Safety Certification is a plus: (e.g., CSP, CHST, GSP, CSMC).

Demonstrated expertise in OSHA and regulatory compliance, with a track record of implementing and monitoring safety programs.

Advanced knowledge of construction site safety procedures, hazard recognition, and incident investigation.

Proficiency with MS Office and digital safety record keeping systems.

Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

Experience delivering safety training, toolbox talks, and on boarding for diverse teams.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to attend meetings and move through varied work environments (office and active construction sites).

Frequent bending/filing; occasional lifting of 5-10 lbs; up to 50 lbs when job site needs require.

Working Conditions

Work conducted in both office and outdoor/on-site construction settings, with variable environmental and noise conditions.

Occasional travel between sites and differing job locations may be required.

Adaptability to dynamic and potentially hazardous environments; readiness for required PPE and safety equipment.
