What You'll Do
As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play an important role in keeping our equipment and vehicles safe, reliable, and ready to work. Your responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting vehicles and equipment, diagnosing issues, and identifying worn or damaged components.
• Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs to keep equipment operating efficiently.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and replacing major mechanical systems, including engines, powertrains, electrical systems, brakes, steering, hydraulics, fuel systems, and air conditioning.
• Making adjustments and alignments to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Conducting test drives and performance checks to verify repairs.
• Performing machine shop operations as needed.
• Maintaining accurate service and repair records.
• Ensuring equipment meets applicable federal and state safety and operating requirements.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Following established schedules, procedures, and quality and safety standards.

You'll also help keep shop equipment in good working order and stay current with industry practices, technology, and regulations.

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, takes pride in quality work, and enjoys working in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications:

• Vocational or technical diploma and four years of diesel mechanic experience in fleet maintenance and repair, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid driver's license (Class C required for occasional operation of non-commercial vehicles).
• Must be insurable.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and maintaining an organized work environment.
• A willingness to continue learning and developing technical skills.

Tools: Company shop tools are provided. Employees are responsible for providing a full general toolbox, including some specialty tools.
