Superintendent

Education Required:

  • B.S./B.A. or equivalent experience

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years
  • Previous experience as superintendent on a commercial construction project
  • Required - previous experience as a Superintendent working with healthcare clients

Computer Skills Required:
•   Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word
•   CMIC
•   Email
•   Internet

Additional Requirements/Responsibilities

  • Experience working with healthcare clients
  • Experience with manpower utilization (self-perform);ability to manage subcontract work packages
  • Interpret legal and architectural documents; review all subcontracts and purchase orders prior to issuance
  • Work with project manager to develop and maintain project schedules
  • Working knowledge and application of basic quantity take-offs; prepare accurate production budget with outside assistance
  • Convey all planning information necessary to create an accurate procurement plan; work with project manager to maintain and update delivery schedules
  • Work with project manager to prepare the Production Budget; budget and project cost; job cost control; code on-site costs and control them; monitor all expenditures with project manager; analyze the cost reports and take appropriate action; ensure accuracy of reporting; review monthly billings with project manager; interpret labor management reports; reorganize labor force to prepare labor budgets and identify risk
  • General understanding of contracts and the application
  • Prepare accurate daily construction reports; document meetings and agreements regularly; work with project manager to develop project controls
  • Primarily responsible for overall jobsite safety; plan and implement site mobilization and utilization; establish site services; coordinate and manage subcontractors; manage the SpawGlass labor force and field engineering personnel; good technical knowledge of construction process
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and weekly jobsite safety meetings
  • Support a successful project closeout, specifically work scope items (punch lists); work with the project manager to complete all contract requirements
  • Listen to, understand and effectively respond to customer needs and concerns
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and peers
