Rideshare Specialist


POSITION SUMMARY
RideShare Specialist assists the Business Development Coordinator in providing money saving vanpool options throughout the state of Iowa.  We group interested individuals with similar commutes and times together, provide training to potential drivers, and provide this group of people a van to operate with.
Assist our customers with any questions or concerns, help manage our fleet of vehicles and maintenance on these vehicles, and assist in recruiting efforts to help more individuals.
Compile information from vanpools to assist in completing state required reporting documents.
We do all this while providing excellent customer service over the phone and in person, with a diverse customer base.  Communicate with other departments to establish a positive experience for the riders and drivers. Communicate to potential riders, active riders, venders and Dart employees to familiarize them with our services and to help grow our program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED AS NEEDED)
The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusion.  Other duties may be requires and assigned.
-Assist current, past and potential customers by phone, email or in person with any questions or concerns in a timely manner while providing outstanding customer service.
-Process paperwork to keep all customer and vanpool files and accounts accurate and up to date utilizing Microsoft Excel, CRM database, and online reporting software.
-Perform drivers training to help train our volunteer drivers on policies and regulations relevant to operating a RideShare van. Also perform yearly driving record checks on all drivers.
-Make collection calls and e-mails to delinquent customers.
-Collect monthly log sheet information and transpose into Excel document for NTD reporting.
-Perform van inspections to make sure they are all clean, have required materials in van and do not have any damage.
-Pull RidePro/RideShark reports daily to communicate to new potential riders about our services and possible vanpool opportunities.
-Pull reports on commuters in database to assist in making new vanpools. Contact individuals to see if interested and collaborate all information together for records keeping.
-Contact vendors or dealerships to collaborate maintenance on vehicles, possible loaner vehicle distribution if required, and guaranteed ride homes as needed.
-Rotate fleet of vehicles with established routes to maintain fleet management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
-2 year or equivalent college experience. Recommended studies in office type work.
-Courses with – Customer Service/Human Relations, Data Entry, Microsoft Office, and Business Writing.
-Have one to three years of related job experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Computers – Both desktop and laptop.
Microsoft office – Excel, Outlook, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
Operations of an automatic transmission motor vehicle – How to drive and fill up gas tank.
How to use a mutli-purpose printer/fax/scanner and a desktop phone and IPhone (Cell phone)

Skills or Ability to:
Multitask – Have the ability to work on multiple items at one time and complete tasks in timely manner.  Prioritize said tasks to meet deadlines while still having tasks done correctly.
Troubleshoot – Examine, research and make adjustments to projects and day to day operations.
Self-Manage – Have the ability to prioritize, start and finish tasks unsupervised.
Teamwork – Have the ability to work with a group of people effectively to complete a task in a timely manner.
Customer service – Have a group of skills that work together to connect with a diverse customer base.  Skills include (but are not limited to) Listening, interpreting, Verbal and written communication, body language, and following through to help the customer. Also includes molding your still to help ease your clientele understanding of what you are trying to explain.
Organization – The act of keeping things in an order easily understood by others to help simplify your work environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Position may help supervise and/or direct any temporary help.
Your position is supervised by the Business Development Coordinator and your tasks are reviewed on a weekly basis.  You must self-manage your tasks to insure completion of work in timely manner.
