Duffield Associates, LLC is an award-winning engineering and science consulting firm specializing in civil, environmental, and geotechnical engineering, construction consulting and testing services. Duffield Associates is looking for a Civil Engineering student scheduled to obtain their BSCE in 2021 or 2022 to provide geotechnical engineering and construction review support to professionals in a team environment. 

The successful candidate will have: a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, including geotechnical engineering, foundation design, construction, as well as experience in AutoCAD drafting an aptitude and willingness to learn and acquire skills including field investigation (e.g., test borings, test pits, monitoring wells, cone penetrometer testing, geotechnical instrumentation) and soil laboratory testing; construction materials testing; construction review and interpretation of construction specifications. Familiarity with engineering analysis and report preparation for shallow foundations, deep foundations, retaining walls, and pavements. Strong communication, analytic and computer skills needed.

 Internships are for Summer break but could possibly extend.  Our internship program is centered on finding qualified Geotechnical Engineering student candidates with a strong desire to potentially join our team after graduation.
