JOB DESCRIPTION:
To support the Controller and Assistant Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department and to relieve certain responsibilities that will allow them to spend a greater portion of their time on Financial Statement preparation and analysis, Budget and Variance issues, and Forecasting. General purpose: general ledger management, daily cash management, financial reporting & analysis, reconciliation of accounts
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Accounting Dept. management with month-end close and reconciliation of accounts
- Reoccurring and adjusting journal entries
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Reconciliations of key balances sheet and P&L accounts
- Execute account analysis for all balance sheet and specified expense accounts on a routine basis; provide management with analytical summary reports for review
- Assist with the accounting for inventory and associated accounts
- Post daily cash transactions and report daily cash flow
- Assist in the reconciliation of the Job Costing system
- Other duties as required by Supervisor
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of Staff Accountant experience
- Associates degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- Knowledgeable about application of GAAP standards
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Positive attitude and the ability to meet deadlines and maintain consistent, timely and accurate processes
- Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
- Highly detail orientated
- Proficient in math and 10 key
- You must possess the ability to successfully work independently and accurately with limited supervision
- Fluent ability to read, write, and speak in the English language
- Commitment to company values
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting
- Expert in Excel
- Additional experience in accounting
