We are looking for someone who has the experience to run a branch location of one of the areas largest HVAC, Plumbing and Electric Service companies. They must have field experience and strong previous management experience. 

 

Work Hours:                  7:00am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, some weeknights and weekends.

 

Primary Job Function:   To manage the service operations of the Wilmington Division.  This includes overseeing the daily dispatching and efficiencies of the service technicians and department.  Other duties include customer relations, reviewing all billing and warranty claims, interaction with the other managers in respect to their warranty and installation needs.  Responsible for making sure that all service techs are properly trained.  The Operations Manager is expected to handle all aspects of the Wilmington branch location and to ensure it’s continued profitability and growth. The Operations Manager will directly report to the owner / general manager and must have a strong attention to detail in relaying daily sales figures and P/L statements.

Daily Duties:    

  1. Responsible for the profitability of the Wilmington location
  2. Responsible for making sure that all Technicians are properly trained.
  3. Supervises the office admin.
  4. Provide accounting with proper payroll information and material information.
  5. Review all service invoices daily, this includes comparing time cards to the invoices and spot checking pricing. Make sure that the Service Technician detailed the invoice in a thorough manner so the customer understands the service rendered and that the problem was taken care of.
  6. Order parts as needed, as parts are received pull work order and have dispatcher schedule work.
  7. Approve all daily time cards.
  8. Technician profitability reporting.
  9. Review all warranty invoices, making sure that all valid warranty issues are being addressed to the vendor, parts, misc. field materials and labor.
  10. Responsible for determining and setting service inventory policies and pricing.
  11. Securing work and revenue generation.
  12. Assist Technicians out in the field when appropriate
  13. Make sure that all service vehicles are clean, stocked, running properly etc
  14. Maintenance of Service inventory stock
  15. Coordination and implementation of  Service marketing calendar.
  16. Customer service.
  17. Track Service Technician commissions.
  18. Quote retrofit jobs “on demand”.
  19. Quote large repair jobs and obtain approval from customers.
  20. Set training schedule

 

Certified Electrician License is a plus, but not required. Construction / project management background is also a plus.
