The Systems Admin II will possess the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and transition between different tasks as the need arises. Responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of servers, network infrastructure and components. They will perform a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure network performance meets client satisfaction. Also provides direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations. Will be required to plan, coordinate, implement, and document IT project work.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have an understanding of DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.
- Must have a strong Knowledge of VMWare and HyperV virtualization technologies
- Must have knowledge of Citrix Xen app and Xen desktop
- Troubleshooting malfunctions of servers, network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services
- Design, setup and configure complex server environments
- Maintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities
- Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
- Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support
- Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users
- Participation in project scoping and technical plan development
- Project task management and execution
- Testing of proposed solutions within lab environments
- Adopting and learning new technologies
- Providing onsite and remote support
- Perform technology assessments
- Engaging with clients and developing their IT initiatives
- Capturing client requirements
- Create review and maintain network documentation, including detailed network diagrams
- Keep project and service tickets current and up to date on a daily basis
- Interact with non-technical staff in an effective manner and understand technology security and best practices
- Liaison with vendors and internal and external resources to ensure proper completion or escalation of issues
- Demonstrate commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Keep physical work space and bench environment clean and organized
- Assume additional duties as defined by supervisor and executive management

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
- MCSE or Citrix certification
- One expert certification and one major certification as identified by Aureon Technology technical certification list
- 5+ years professional experience in a computer or systems related field
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two expert certifications as identified by Aureon Technology technical certification list
- 10 years’ professional experience in IT networking
