Job Responsibilities
The Project Engineer/Project Manager Intern will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Superintendent, Project Manager and Project Coordinator Teams with a variety of initiatives.
Learn Superintendent Field Duties
- Attend safety meetings/orientation/job startup
- Quality assurance and Bouten standard review
- Assist the Superintendent with daily reports and safety walks
- Review plans and specifications for submittal preparation
- Basic quantity take-offs for ordering materials
- Prepare weekly project reports
- Assist in weekly work planning and pull planning sessions
- Assist with punch list development and tracking at project close-out
Learn Project Manager Duties
- Submittal review - Bluebeam skills
- RFI issuance, submittal tracking
- Assist in preparation - scope of work packages
- Perform plan take-offs and prepare individual specification section estimates
- Create site logistics and phasing plans
- Assist in schedule preparation
- Assist with meeting minutes
Learn Project Coordinators Duties
- Document control
- Electronic management of project documents
- Assist with procurement of subcontractor contract paperwork
- Assist on owner operation and maintenance manuals start to finish
- Updating bid lists
- Assist with document editing
- Archive completed projects
Internship Experience Presentation
- Present your experiences and thoughts on your internship to our team at the completion of the summer.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management (junior or senior preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Some experience with Bluebeam is desirable.
• Writing ability, strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to handle tight deadlines critical to job success.
• Quick self-starter, team-oriented, positive attitude, and able to work with different personalities and professional styles.
• Accurate and consistent with amazing attention to detail.
