The Concrete Finisher will perform a wide variety of technical, skilled and physical duties related to concrete maintenance and concrete finishing, primarily on flat surface concrete projects, including sidewalks, curbs, gutters and streets.

Responsibilities:

Housekeeping, demolition, pouring concrete, assisting carpenters in scaffolding

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Ability to read safety information and write

One year of experience as a skilled concrete finisher preferred or completion of a related, recognized apprenticeship

Knowledge of concrete tools, techniques and practices; concrete and cement mixtures and tier elementary properties; and block laying and concrete pipe installation

Ability to use tools - hammer, wheelbarrow, chipping gun, broom, wrecking bar, sledge hammer, compacting equipment, concrete vibrator

Ability to read simple plans, make measurements and set up forms in preparing to pour and finish concrete

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Ability to lift 60 lbs and more with assistance

First Aid Certificate and OSHA 10 (can be obtained upon employment)

Ability to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, work above ground on scaffolds

Use safety equipment 100% of the time and work in a safe manner
