Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Do a complete pre-and post-trip inspection of the truck and all trailers used for the day.
• Drive safely to and from job sites and other destinations.
• Safely load and unload a wide variety of heavy machinery.
• Properly follow all safety practices outlined by Kerr Contractors and other site-specific requirements.
• Complete all paperwork associated with Kerr Heavy Haul and all DOT-required paperwork and turn them in on Monday mornings.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class "A" CDL - tanker and hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical, have a current medical card and have a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs.
• Minimum of 2 years of Flatbed/Lowboy/Tractor Trailer hauling experience
• Basic knowledge of construction and/or construction equipment
• Experience loading, unloading, chaining, and binding equipment to a lowboy or flatbed trailer.
• Able to operate a variety of construction equipment safely.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work extended hours and have a flexible schedule.
