  • Maintain accounts and records the areas of prepaid expenses, disbursements, accrued expenses/liabilities and certain other asset and liability accounts, including preparation of month end account reconciliations.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial reports
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, including routine posting, preparing invoices, troubleshooting billings and other similar functions.
  • Monitor cash and investment balances as well as performing month end bank account reconciliations.
  • Make general ledger entries.
  • Perform other accounting duties, including assisting with special projects as assigned and supporting the rest of the Accounting Department.
  • Perform a variety of accounting activities, such as managing financial reporting and reconciliation process, in accordance with accounting principles and standards to ensure the financial reporting is compliant with laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

 

Education/Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field is necessary
  • 4 +/- years of accounting experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills, preferred (knowledge of PIVOT tables as an example)
  • Extensive knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills for financial review
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
