POSITION OVERVIEW

Oversee a team that will perform all repairs and maintenance of all heating/cooling and ventilating components common to residential operations. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teamwork

Direct and motivate a team involved in performing the following duties as examples:

  • Required to respond to emergencies such as floods, power outages, etc. even during off shift hours, if directed to by the department manager
  • Repair, replacement and adjustment of residential operating HVAC systems
  • Preventative maintenance and inspections on residential HVAC equipment and systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve repairs
  • Maintains record keeping requirements and written reports as part of a daily routine

Leadership

  • Achieve results and goals meeting deadlines
  • Identifies ways to organize the department more efficiently and effectively to meet its needs from an operational standpoint in a high growth environment
  • Execute directives, set objectives and plans in achieving results
  • Anticipate outcomes and address any issues in the initial planning and decision-making phases of a project
  • The building of a framework within the department for collaboration, cooperation and effectiveness among team members in the accomplishment of objectives

Customer Service

  • Recognizes adverse customer service reactions and addresses them to eliminate repercussions
  • Consistently goes beyond basic service expectations to help customers with solutions
  • The prioritization, timely accomplishment and meeting of deadlines leading to exceeding expectations with identified customer needs
  • Maintains constant vigilance in evaluating, determining and assessing customer needs

Performance Management

  • Meets or exceeds targeted revenue goals
  • Manages to budgets and accomplishing goals within budgetary limitations
  • Oversees individual performance success through coaching and developing employees

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated professional interpersonal relationship skills
  • Solid management experience, customer service and leadership skills
  • Extensive HVAC experience required
  • Ability to meet or exceed established financial goals
  • Demonstrated strong customer service problem solving skills and decision-making
  • Demonstrated skills showing initiative, personal responsibility and accountability
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated speed and accuracy in the completion of tasks
