JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primarily responsible for ensuring the adequate inventory of equipment and materials in accordance with inventory guidelines set forth by operations management. Conduct daily/weekly inventory analysis to solve inventory problems, as well as develop and implement inventory control procedures. General Purpose: Inventory Control, Performance Management, Warranty Claims.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for managing, coordinating and ensuring completion of all inventory control procedures
- Develops and implements inventory control procedures using new technologies
- Leads by example by creating a strong spirit of teamwork while holding members accountable for their job performance, attendance, and consistently meeting inventory control measures
- Partners with managers and supervisors to ensure accurate inventory levels
- Performs and monitors all inventory-related duties including but not limited to cycle counts and physical inventory audits
- Supports Operations by maintaining inventory accuracy of materials available for sale
- Implements improvement processes and systems to increase inventory accuracy, minimize costs, and reduce inventory, where possible
- Ensures that inventory shrinkage due to loss, theft, or damage is kept to a minimum
- Develops accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions
- Ensures transactional integrity and accuracy of the stock management system
- Produces daily/weekly/monthly reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies are addressed and resolved
- Counts and validates material in stock and compare current balances to inventory records; Investigates to provide explanation for any discrepancies found then suggest corrective action
- Generates obsolete inventory reports and communicates to appropriate personnel
- Researches transactional history in the system to identify trends and common errors/mistakes; suggest corrective actions
- Partners with Procurement and Warehouse Management to maintain inventory control
- Attends supervisor and department meetings, as required
- Partners with Marketing Director to ensure accurate inventory of marketing materials
- All other duties, as assigned by Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of leadership and supervisory experience in Warehouse/Inventory Control
- Valid Driver’s license and acceptable DMV record
- Must be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced stressful environment
- Must have experience in computer data entry within databases, spreadsheets, and have the ability to enter data in “real time” quickly and accurately
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to tactfully and diplomatically diffuse contentious situations
- Ability to recognize and establish priorities
- Ability to perform coaching and leadership skills
- Strong customer orientation and communication skills
- Ability to quickly analyze a situation and provide an effective solution
- High performance team player with a commitment to company values
- Ability to maintain safe work practices and adhere to company safety standards
- Ability to become forklift certified
- Ability to fluently speak, write, and read English language
- High school diploma or GED
