Pay ranges from $50,000 to $60,000

A growing Chicagoland area company seeks a Desktop Support Analyst.  The Desktop Support Analyst is part of a team of IT professionals who provide in-house technical PC hardware and software support.  This person works with a variety of equipment and systems including desktops, laptops, network connectivity, and Windows software. In addition, this person implements special projects which require researching new technology and solving complex problems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist personnel with PCs, servers, networks, printers, software, and phones
  • Package, test, deploy, update, and troubleshoot software
  • Create and maintain desktop images
  • Perform routine network and PC installation, and troubleshoot, maintain and resolve any related problems
  • Setup new users in our systems
  • Remove/disable system access for departing employees
  • Analyze desktop hardware and software processes for efficiency and needs
  • Document processes and procedures
  • Coordinate upgrade of desktop equipment and software
  • Maintain ticketing system for prioritizing tasks
  • Escalate or delegate issues to other IT members if required
  • Be the primary point of contact for personnel with any IT question or task
  • Manage Active Directory and Exchange users and groups
  • Maintain phone system users, teams, and call flow logic
  • Grant/revoke access to various internal and external systems
  • Train personnel on how to best use the different systems and tools
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40lbs. repetitively
  • Must have own reliable transportation

Technical Skills:

  • PC hardware
  • Windows Desktop Support 7, 8, 10.
  • Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2
  • Windows Active Directory
  • Exchange 2010
  • DNS and DHCP

Experience:

  • 2 – 5 years IT experience
  • Certifications in Microsoft or Cisco technologies a plus
