Electrical Service Manager

Pacific Heating & Cooling is looking for an Electrical Service Manager

Scope of Work:

Manage and provide sustainable growth in a residential electrical service department including sales, customers and technicians. Train the electrical technicians for service and installation of electrical equipment. Implement effective processes to ensure efficient scheduling and assignment of daily work order tickets. The position of Service Manager  is an important one with our company. The Service Manager is the person who coordinates all of the activity between the office and the field to ensure that work flows smoothly and that all goals and expectations are met within the Service Department. Anyone performing in this capacity must have exceptional communications skills that will allow for effective relationship building at all levels; have the business knowledge to make sound business decisions and have the ability to multi-task.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Estimating, sales and recruit develop and retain
  • Create and maintain schedule for, communicate, and monitor technicians
  • Ensure the proper permits have been obtained on all jobs as follows and enforce company philosophies, policies and procedures within the electrical department
  • Represent the company in a professional manner
  • Quality Control
  • Ambassador and spokesperson for the company, work as a team with other team members
  • Oversee daily duties of electrical technicians and trainees
  • Follow all company safety rules and requirements
  • Seek additional educational opportunities to stay up to date on technical, product, code, customer service, and sales information
  • Training for electrical technicians in sales, service and installation of Electrical equipment
  • Perform evaluations for all electrical 
  • Customer service pertaining to field operations, including but not limited to: field customer complaints, negotiating disputes about bills pertaining to service call and technicians
  • Support for electrical technicians
  • Job Costing
  • Meeting and managing electrical department budget
  • Courtesy and respect are expected at all times towards

Position Requirements:

Must hold a valid O2 WA Electrical License

Must have a current driver's license

Must be flexible to come in early and stay late as customer and project demands dictate

Must be able to establish scope of work by a complete review of plans, specs, and estimates

Must be able to perform site visits and monitors progress of associated budgets monthly

Must be able to supervise, coach, and mentor subordinate employees to maximize productivity and develop talent pool

Must be able to work effectively with other personnel and build and develop business relationships with potential

 

Physical Requirements: 

Personal weight and tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladders (Class 1-250lbs, Class 2-300lbs)

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach over

Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to access all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by S.H.A approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction, but acceptable for use.

 

Working Conditions:

May work inside or outside while wearing required personal protective equipment at all times; possible exposure to hot and cold temperatures, weather elements, duct, toxic materials, in restricted or confined spaces, and on slippery or uneven surfaces; works on ladders, work in and around single and multi-story homes
