Job Requirements
- Experience with Linial, Gantry, Line boring, Flange facing, and other portable field machining equipment
- Ability to dimension, troubleshoot, set up and operate mill to meet specifications of customer’s needs
- Familiarity with forging and stamping presses a plus
- Ability to operate a Laser Tracker (FARO) a plus
- Must be willing to travel
- Drivers license required
- Minimum of two to five year’s experience as a Machinist
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of different machinery required
Job Responsibilities
- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence, of operations, and setup requirements
- Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, horizontal mills, and portable equipment
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications
- Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly including tear-down repairs
- Installs machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and tests operations of unit to ensure functionality and performance
- Other duties as assigned
