ADF International is a North American leader in the fabrication, design and engineering of connections, fabrications and installations of complex steel structures. As an international leader in a growing industry, we seek a disciplined specialist with the technical and command skills necessary to help us order and sustain the increasing workloads we face in our fabrication plant.

Rate of pay:

Do you have welding training as a former Hull Technician, Machinist, Seabee, or Airframe Mechanic? Are you a former Armorer, Combat Engineer, or 1316 Metal Worker? Did you leave service with a rank of E7 or above? If these descriptors apply to you, then this career opportunity—meaning there is potential for growth and increasing responsibility with ADF International—may be just what you’ve been looking for.

A qualified candidate for the position of ADF International’s Structural Welding Foreman will be able to document 10 or more years in leadership or management with heavy industrial fabrication plant experience or will be able to confirm 10 or more years of supervision and planning experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been accumulated. A preferred candidate will, in addition, possess or be immediately eligible for AWS (American Welding Society) Certification and CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) Certification. Our ideal candidate will have, as well, an impeccable training background and an unblemished work record and will be able to provide detailed performance evaluations or compelling references that attest to work-related expertise and a well-tested set of leadership qualities.

If you are confident and friendly and formal in bearing, if you can communicate clearly with superiors, peers, and subordinates, if you can inspire and motivate team members to improve productivity by establishing for them a clear set of expectations, by offering them appropriate praise and advice, and by imposing reasonable sanctions without showing either favoritism or malice, we want to talk with you. If you have a talent for delegating responsibility and distributing tasks among subordinates in ways that insure maximum productivity for the team and for the company, we want to talk with you. If you can establish and maintain a positive work environment with a steady flow of communication among all stakeholders, if you can identify and provide useful information to superiors and appropriate feedback and training to subordinates, we want to talk with you. If you can act with honesty and integrity in relations with superiors, peers, and subordinates, if you can accept and effectively analyze unexpected problems, if you can take appropriate initiative to solve these problems creatively, if you can accept with equanimity both credit for success and blame for failure, we want to talk with you. If you can, in good faith, make a personal commitment to the success of the production team and to the continued success of ADF International, we really, really want to talk with you.
