Manager, Engineering Office

Brosz Engineering seeks a talented and successful professional engineer to assume responsibility for leading operations of its Sioux Falls office, with the primary goals of business development, client relations and office management.

Primary Responsibilities of the Engineering Office Manager Include:

• Develop client relationships and business growth in the Sioux Falls/Southeast SD area
• Serve as liaison to State, County, City and private contractors, and to officials involved in planning, design and construction of highway, street, bridge, water and sewer collection and distribution systems, airports and other public and private infrastructure projects
• Review RFPs and oversee creation of bids, estimates, timetables and project schedules
• Supervise and assure quality of all engineering and surveying activities conducted by local staff
• Manage budgets; authorize expenditures; initiate client billing; monitor receivables and payables
• Provide effective leadership, supervision and training to local staff
• Maintain effective communications within local office, with other offices, with clients and their representatives, as well as with prospects and decision-makers

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
• Professional Engineer License preferred
• 5 or more years of progressively responsible engineering experience
• Successful project management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with normal industry software and equipment
• Self-starter; Independent worker; Collaborate team member
• Previous experience with budgeting preferred
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of Sioux Falls market preferred
