Job Description:

The Wellness Network is looking for a creative storyteller with 5-7 years of video producing and writing experience. Extra consideration will be given to those who are capable of delivering all phases of the production process: including concept development, research, scripting, directing, field producing,  animation and editing supervision, and project delivery.

Applicants must have compelling storytelling skills - both in the written script and demonstrated through their work directing field shoots, edit sessions and animation. They must also have the ability to take complex concepts and medical details and write a script that both highlights the networks’ healthcare education objectives and is engaging. Every patient watching should be able to understand the content and be empowered to take action. 

Candidate must have excellent producing skills, should be someone who is deadline and detail oriented who enjoys process and organization, can take ownership of a project while still collaborating with creative team members, can travel for shoots, and be willing to work on a variety of short-form and long-form video projects to be delivered on a variety of multimedia platforms. . Candidate must also be able to juggle multiple projects at a time while keeping each one moving toward completion. While experience is key, an impactful demo reel and video samples of your actual production work along with writing samples are paramount.

All candidates must be able to clearly and creatively convey their project vision while interacting with the public, healthcare organizations and providers, and while directing and producing in the field. Candidates should be comfortable producing in homes, hospitals and other healthcare institutions, working with and directing the public, and producing at remote locations with the ability to creatively solve unforeseen obstacles.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a producer/writer
  • Strong interest in health education
  • Must exhibit highly conceptual thinking and writing skills. Must be a good storyteller
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be comfortable conducting on camera interviews of patients/experts appearing in videos
  • Ability to generate ideas and concepts quickly, remain agile, and work within tight deadlines
  • Be versatile, well-organized and feel comfortable in a team setting
  • Ability to solicit and receive feedback and constructive criticism both internally and externally
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, forward-thinking and creative
  • Proficiency in and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite helpful but not required
  • Manage projects from concept to completion on a daily basis
  • Able to manage  time and costs to meet budget
  • Ability to travel (5-10%)
  • Writing Samples or reel required as part of the interview process
