American Energy Care (AEC group of Companies) is a 25++ year old firm which provides a wide range of energy saving solutions to commercial and industrial businesses.  The solutions include auditing, energy-engineering, consulting, financing, and partial or turn-key installations and other services to reduce client energy costs.  We do business throughout New York, and parts of Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Vermont. We are currently seeking several controls positions in lighting and mechanical controls, this posting is for an Sales Account Manager (SAM) to join our growing business in Albany, New York!

Job Description:

The SAM will identify and work with the team to develop feasible engineering and financial solutions for the implementation of energy conservation measures (ECM’s), including RTU advanced rooftop controls and advanced lighting control solutions for commercial and industrial scale customers.
The SAM will develop plans and strategies to expand the existing customer base within assigned markets and territories, to comply with the quarterly sales projections, and to foster cross selling of the AEC Group of Companies’ overall services. The SAM will be responsible for detailed site and control system assessments  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret project and equipment specifications and plans.
  • Conduct site surveys.
  • Works with sales manager to develop and implement plans to take advantage of sales opportunities for new and assigned accounts within territory.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with General Contractors, Consultant Engineers, Mechanical Contractors, Business Partners and Owners.
  • Qualifies, estimates and proposes on HVAC and lighting control solutions.
  • Determine improvements by analyzing technical and financial cost-benefits of equipment or solutions applications in a customer’s facility and explain SIR, ROI and MIRR.
  • Achieves bookings and gross margin goals.
  • Works with project managers to ensures a smooth sales transition to operations.
  • Prepares accurate and thorough sales activity and forecast reports.
  • Actively participates in sales meetings, workshops and seminars to consistently grow in professional knowledge.
  • Participates in networking events through professional organizations.
  • Develops and builds long-term relationships with all types of clients to become the trusted advisor for HVAC control solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a technical understanding of HVAC systems and controls. Only candidates with this qualification will be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or business preferred, candidates with a combination of education and directly related experience will also be considered.
  • A proven track record of technical sales success.
  • Hunter sales mentality preferred.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and demonstrated experience for pricing control solutions for customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSME or BSEE
  • Experience with financial sales and complex technical sales.
  • Strong background in electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales positions with clear record of increased responsibilities.
