Job Summary: The Assistant Teacher II supports the Teacher in planning, implementing and maintaining a nurturing and supportive educational program for participating children. The Assistant Teacher II is the designated lead Head Start staff person at times during the day when the teacher is not present in the classroom.
Education and/or Experience
Associates degree in early childhood
OR
Two (2) years experience in a licensed (or school district based) child care program
AND
One of the following:
1. Pre-school Child Development Associate credential (CDA)
2. One (1) year early childhood diploma from an accredited community college
3. Other related associates degree with nine (9) credit hours of course work in early childhood education
Hours and Wage:
Monday - Friday 8:45am-5:15pm; $14.26/hour
