Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Electrical Estimating/Project Management
- Experience in calculating material cost, equipment, and man hours needed for project estimates
- Capable of monitoring job progression from estimation stage through completion
- Experience in developing and writing the scope of work
- Ability to effectively communicate the scope of work to field personnel
- Experience in bidding, quoting, contracts, and purchase orders
- Proficient with commercial blueprint, schematic, and custom drawing interpretation
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Can multitask in a fast paced, team environment
Job Responsibilities
- Accurately estimate Electrical Projects using labor hours, material cost, and equipment needed
- Develop and write scope of work for Electrical Projects
- Communicate with Project Managers, Operations, and Sales Representatives to understand job scope, timing, and goals to relay to field crews
- Responsible for commercial blueprint and schematic interpretation
- Visit job sites to perform preliminary walk-throughs and follow up walk-throughs as needed
- Provide technical assistance for field workers and support Purchasers
- Continually work to develop innovative solutions for the various electrical installation projects
- Tracks prospective work and develops strategies that enhance opportunities for securing that work
