The Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of full cycle recruitment for  the company. This will be achieved through recruiting for budgeted staffing needs for Michael and Son. The role includes development of job descriptions, execution of local and regional recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting approaches. The Human Resources Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.
 
Assume responsibility for recruiting and selecting outstanding people for positions across the Company.

  1. Partner with managers throughout the company to gain a solid understanding of business objectives, job requirements and hiring plans in order to develop and implement recruitment strategies
  2. Ensure that hiring needs are fulfilled as required in a timely manner
  3. Assist managers in crafting job descriptions and participate in the position evaluation process
  4. Act as a primary go to person for all recruitment efforts for entry level to professional level hires within the region
  5. Use creative and innovative methods to source candidates. Participate in career fairs and industry events
  6. Undertake all social media avenues for recruiting
  7. Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements. Screen applicants and facilitate interviews
  8.  Conduct reference checks as needed, and assist the hiring team in selection of candidates. Assist managers in determining appropriate starting wage
  9. Maintain recruiting records and documentation for legal audits  
  10. Develop and track metrics associated with the recruiting process and quality of hires
  11. Conduct pre-screening interviews and review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
  12. Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resource files and Applicant Tracking System
  13. Assist in performing reference as well as background checks, educational checks, and drug screens
  14. Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters when necessary
  15. Assist in interviewing and selecting employees’ onsite and in the field
  16. Assist in preparing and sending all pre-employment forms

 

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven track record of recruitment results
  • BS in Human Resources or related field
  • Experience with service company recruiting a plus
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
  • Exposure to HR Generalist responsibilities
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a corporate Human Resources environment with a focus on recruitment
  • Experience with Social Media recruitment avenues
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with candidates in entry level to management level positions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible schedule; able to accommodate interviews outside of normal work hours
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Skills in database management and record keeping
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
