Job Summary

The Kitting Supervisor is responsible for the daily execution of warehouse operations.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee shift operations: coordinate labor and staffing levels, efficiently utilize resources to meet operational needs, adhere to schedules & deadlines, provide timely response to customer inquiries and requests, proactively communicate performance shortfalls to include proposed solutions / resolution.
  • Grow & develop staff: provide training on standard operating procedures and safe work practices.  Communicate performance expectations, monitor progress and address development needs accordingly.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and activities through the use of internal & external metrics focused on velocity, quality and cost and people.
  • Provide effective communication: Conduct team meetings (daily, weekly, monthly) to communicate priorities, policy changes and customer feedback.  Respond to employee inquiries timely / direct employees to the appropriate resources as needed. 
  • Manage customer relationship: provide timely response to inquiries and requests, proactively communicate performance shortfalls to include proposed solutions / resolution.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: reduce recordable accidents, ensure employees have received proper safety training, establish & communicate housekeeping standards, address non-compliance as appropriate with HR.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related, verifiable experience.
  • Previous experience managing in a production, warehouse, manufacturing and/or assembly environment.
  • Previous experience operating power industrial truck.
  • Certified to operate power industrial truck.
  • Advanced computer skills, Microsoft Word (including: Email, Excel, PowerPoint, Graphics, Microsoft Visio, and Routine Database Activity etc.).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; Must be capable of meeting stringent deadlines.
