We are looking for:
We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic Clinical Educator to work in the field providing clinical education and training to patients, caregivers and health care practitioners on the features, benefits, clinical indications and applications of Atos Medical products. We are looking for an energetic person with a passion to engage with lots of stakeholders and with structure and focus on diligent execution – a combination that will help to engage and inspire laryngectomy patients all over the country.
Main job responsibilities
Educate and train patients, caregivers, speech pathologists, physicians, respiratory therapists and nurses on clinical application and utilization of our products through one-on-one training, sessions, in-service training, and seminars.
- Provide clinical and product-related training to Atos’ customers via formal in-service presentations and hands-on product training in both the acute, outpatient and operating room settings.
- Collaborate and assist the Atos Medical Territory Sales Managers with product evaluations and the implementation process.
- Provide scheduled and “on-demand” clinical support to our customers and sales team on troubleshooting and clinical best practices with regards to pre and post-laryngectomy and post-tracheostomy care.
- Organize and provide a concise and succinct presentation at local, regional, state and national healthcare practitioner conferences/symposiums and Patient Voice Institutes on Atos Medical technology, product training and clinical applications.
- To be up-to-date on current literature as it pertains to the patient populations we serve.
- Provide education and training on current literature of our products to both the inside and outside sales teams.
- Maintain knowledge of current products and services in the industry, specifically those of competitor products.
- Provide constructive, objective feedback to the Product Development team for improvement to current product and development of new products.
- Manage territory activities through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) dashboards and company generated standard and customized reports.
- Report all activities, communications and customer intelligence in Atos’ CRM system.
- Assist with scheduled field personnel training classes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and customers.
- Notifies Territory Sales Manager of issues or problems requiring follow-up.
- Act as an onsite clinical resource at local, regional and state meetings conferences and exhibits as required.
- Overnight travel required for the position is approximately >65% of the time.
- Directly reports to the Director of Clinical Education.
Your Qualifications & Competences
- M.A. or M.S. in Speech Pathology
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in direct laryngectomee care in both the acute & outpatient settings
- Current, extensive knowledge of alaryngeal communication and pulmonary care
- Independently motivated individual with good organization and time management skills
- Demonstrate flexibility and ability to collaborate with all members of the sales team
- Demonstrates an interest in learning more about innovate medical therapies and technology
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Group presentation experience required
- Previous sales, training and education experience in the medical field preferred but not required.
- Computer skills including MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and online applications
- Knowledge and experience with operating room protocols
- Availability for over 50% travel
