Job Summary
The production supervisor is responsible for the daily performance of operations including scheduling employees, aligning proper people for each line of assembly and communicating business goals and objectives to subordinates. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of continuous improvement processes throughout the value stream.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate with employees on assemblies to build each day and assign work as necessary
- Monitor quality documentation completed by employees
- Monitor and adjust staffing to efficiently meet production goals and maintain employee attendance
- Complete yearly work performance for all employees
- Develop and communicate programs to support company goals and objectives for quality, velocity and safety
- Enforce company policies and take disciplinary action when necessary
- Support CPS and ISO methodologies to meet audit/assessment standards
- Communicate with G&D facility and logistics managers on operational matters and material/planning/production scheduling
- Work closely with outside customers and communicate orders and build status

- Consistently enforce all safety guidelines
- Accept responsibility for personal safety and health as well as individual actions that may impact safety and health of others in work environment and/or community
- Demonstrate commitment to ZERO accidents
- In the event of an emergency, ensure that the proper emergency procedures are followed
- Ensure that all accident/incident reporting is done within the required timeframe (24 hours for injury reports and 72 hours for all others) and that all accident/incident procedures are followed
- Communicate safety information to all appropriate team members
- Ensure all safety-sensitive equipment is in proper working order before use
- Strive for continuous improvement in overall safety behavior
Qualifications
- Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience
- 2+ years experience as a production supervisor OR 5+ years experience of work in a production environment
- Intermediate computer skills
- Microsoft Office
- Lotus Notes
