Project Manager

Be part of the solution and help the nation meet its aggressive climate change goals.

Headquartered in Rochester, N.Y., the REMADE Institute is a $140 million, 130-member public-private partnership established by the U.S. Department of Energy and dedicated to accelerating the U.S.’s transition to a Circular Economy. Part of the Manufacturing USA network of 16 advanced manufacturing institutes, REMADE is committed to reducing energy consumption, decreasing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing the supply and use of recycled materials, increasing U.S. manufacturing competitiveness and creating clean economy jobs. In fact, Reducing Embodied-energy And Decreasing Emissions is in our name: REMADE.

REMADE’s specific mission is to enable the early-stage applied research and development of key technologies to dramatically reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions associated with industrial-scale materials production and processing. By focusing its efforts on the technologies that will eliminate and/or mitigate the technical and economic barriers that prevent greater material reuse, remanufacturing, recovery and recycling, REMADE is leading the nation’s transition from an outdated linear “take-make-dispose” economy to a “make-use-reuse-remanufacture-recycle” Circular Economy.
