Primary Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Provides the highest level of customer and guest services, expedites requests from vessels
  • Carries out routine cleaning duties that meet established quality standards for all marina related operations; insures the recognized standards are maintained and that quality, and delivery commitments are met
  • Reports to Dock Manager, performs related duties such as securing boats to docks, connecting and monitoring utility services (power, water and telephone), black water pump out, waste disposal and facility sanitation
  • Must be a team player
  • Assist boaters with loading and unloading car and or boat, assist with arrivals and departures
  • Responsible for keeping parking lot clean and watering flowers, weed whacking/grass cutting as needed
  • Provides general security and supports marina and facility security teams in their security related efforts; reports disturbances in dock area to superiors and maintains general vigilance
  • Provides service to marina and facility guests and carries out routine marina maintenance
  • Complying with instructions or duties as may be reasonably assigned

 

Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays

  • Proven skills in seamanship, communication, health and safety, plant and equipment maintenance and marina operations
  • Familiarity with common marina operational documentation (e.g. agreements, contracts, terms and conditions, marina rules and regulations etc.) and the ability to analyze them if necessary
  • A positive attitude combined with the ability to communicate fluently and relate well to customers in the leisure environment.
  • Maintains a neat appearance
  • Commercial awareness and an eye for detail, present neat and clean appearance in (provided) uniform shirt
  • computer literate, basic math skills working with small change and credit card machine
  • Knowledge of boating and local waters
  • Proficient swimmer
  • Full driving license
  • CT boating license, can obtain on approval of employment
  • Must be physically fit to lift at least 60 lbs and work in all types of weather

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • Marine experience preferred
