Position Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve customers in the Twin Cities metro area construction market. Responsible for providing service the walk in or City Desk customers, as it relates to product sales and promotion. Includes service for new and repeat business customers. Responsible for taking and fulfilling product orders by Outside Sales as well as Will Call customers. Successful candidates will have ability gain product knowledge quickly, internal support and training will be provided. May also assist with Showroom and Warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Two years’ experience in a customer focused, customer service position
- Ability to interact professionally with individuals as first point of contact for the company
- Previous sales experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of construction and construction related supplies helpful
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and customized business systems
Primary Responsibilities
- Field incoming calls, process orders, work with City Desk walk-in traffic.
- Track upcoming projects and provide competitive quotations as required.
- Communicate with warehouse to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Identify customer requirements by establishing rapport with the customer
- Forge new and develop existing customer relationships.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.

Secondary Responsibilities
- Occasional warehouse duties as necessary.
- Assists Credit Department in collections on past due customer accounts.
- Assist in purchasing and receiving of materials.
- Various administrative / branch duties as needed.
