Position Requirements: Applicants must reside in or have immediate plans to relocate to the Denver Metro area.  Denver area experience preferred.  Lead $50+ million high rise residential project.

CFC’s expectation is that the senior superintendent is a key leadership position within the company.  The senior superintendent owns a passion for developing staff and growing the company.  Client relationships are critical; all the while leading project teams to build in the most efficient and effective means possible to exceed safety, quality, schedule, and profit goals.  Successful experience building large, difficult projects, wood, concrete, and steel structures; and multifamily projects is very important; as is a quest for continuous improvement in construction and management techniques.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the constructability review process on all assigned projects during preconstruction
  • Participate in development of budgets for assigned projects
  • Work closely with pre-construction when project is transferring to operations
  • Develops, monitors and executes the project construction plan and schedule
  • Plans and implements construction means, methods, schedules, productivity and site logistics
  • Mobilizes the project – equipment choices, site layout and site set-up
  • Manage and oversee all field construction processes and schedules; and ensures accurate  and effective field management skills are being applied and utilized
  • Develops, manages, implements and enforces safety, quality control, and environmental programs; as well as the company’s drug and alcohol policy
  • Ensures that all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Documents all violations, notifies project management, recommends and implements corrective action, as required
  • Organizes and coordinates all subcontractor activities, including conducting and chairing weekly coordination meetings, assisting project manager with buyouts and monitoring subcontractor monthly progress invoices
  • Coordinates on-site manpower, materials and equipment
  • Continuously reviews field production to analyze and improve where necessary
  • Performs daily review of jobsite activities and establishes action plans
  • Ensure timely scheduling, coordination and effective job cost control
  • Implements approved field changes
  • As field administrator, reviews and authorizes time sheets; verifies invoices, labor quantities, packing slips, purchase orders and updates daily job reports
  • Monitors cost control and job costing, quantity reporting, forecasting and productivity
  • Help ensure project profitability using effective management skills
  • Ensure compliance with project QA / QC plans
  • Develops and maintains positive client relations
  • Liaison with building authorities and regulatory agencies
  • Liaison with clients, subcontractors and field personnel
  • At the time of project closeout, performs final inspections, identifies deficiencies and ensures  warranty work and site demobilization
  • Staff projects with appropriate field personnel
  • Supervises, mentors, coaches and trains field personnel
  • Monitor and assess project field team. Recommend appropriate personnel changes as needed
  • Assist with interviewing, recruiting and hiring of qualified field personnel
  • Perform competency reviews and recommend salary adjustments
  • Conduct superintendent meetings as requested to promote CFC culture, policies, procedures, teamwork and technical information along with open roundtable discussions

Qualifications:

  • 10 – 15 years of progressive construction field supervisory experience
  • Experience as lead superintendent on major projects
  • Applicants must reside in or have immediate plans to relocate to the Denver Metro area. Denver area experience preferred.
