Job Summary:

 

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations specifically in the areas of compliance, recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management and employee relations. The Human Resource Assistant works closely with the Director of Human Resources in supporting company operations.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

 

  • Assist employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes by posting open positions and screening applicants
  • Assist with processing payroll
  • Manage on-boarding process utilizing Gethired
  • Assist with the execution of employee recognition programs
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics
  • Creating and distributing documents
  • Provide customer service to organization employees
  • Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment
  • Compile reports and spreadsheets
  • Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
  • Assists the Director of HR with HR projects
  • Complete termination paperwork and assist with exit interviews
  • Assists with benefits administration  

 

  • Human Resources Assistant Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Eager to learn and assist all team members when needed
  • Possesses superb written and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Human Resources and Information Systems, and Excel
  • Knowledge of Automatic Data Processing system is a plus
  • Must be organized, and a dedicated strategist and planner
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, or extensive prior experience in human resources
  • Knowledge of employment law, compensation, organizational planning, employee development, employee relations, performance management and recruitment
  • General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
