ADF International in Great Falls, Montana, announces immediate openings for SEVERAL Structural Steel Fitters at the A, B, and C levels.

Hours:
Day Shift:  Monday-Thursday 6:00 am-4:30 pm
Evening Shift:  Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-3:00 am

Rate of pay:
$16-$25/hr. DOQ&E.

Fitter A
Do you have a minimum 10,000 hours (approx. 5 years) of relevant trade experience from which competent knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved or a combination of a minimum of 8,000 hours (approx. 4 years) of relevant trade experience and training from which equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved? Fitter B
Do you have a minimum 8,000 hours (approx. 4 years) of relevant trade experience from which competent knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved or a combination of a minimum of 6,000 hours (approx. 3 years) of relevant trade experience and training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved? Fitter C
Do you have a minimum of 6,000 hours (approx. 3 years) of relevant trade experience or a combination of a minimum of 4,000 hours (approx. 2 years) of relevant trade experience and training from which competent knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved? Key Technical Skills/Abilities:
o Proficient in reading and interpreting blue prints, drawings and specifications.
o Proficient with MCAW.
o Responsible for achieving good speed of execution while maintaining quality workmanship in a wide range of fitting activities.
o Proficient in the safe and judicious operation of overhead cranes.
o Responsible for safely and efficiently discharging production tasks on schedule with minimal supervision.

Must have the ability to speak English fluently.

Duties Summary:
o Responsible for positioning and securing (spot or tack welding) various types and sizes of steel parts and components to be welded onto subassemblies or assemblies, according to drawings, specifications and instructions.
o Responsible for making basic layouts and marking weld points on parts or assemblies in order to establish reference points.
o Responsible for clamping, holding, tack welding, heat-bending, grinding and/or bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
o Responsible for examining work pieces for defects, measuring work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
o Responsibility for analyzing drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, to plan, layout, assembly, and welding operations.
o Responsible for cutting steel plates and structural shapes to dimensions, and beveling as specified by blueprints and layouts using powered saws, hand shears, chipping knives or oxy torches.
o Responsible for repairing products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand tools.
o Responsible for performing tasks using overhead traveling cranes, when required.
o Responsible for any other related duties, as required and/or special projects as needed.

 Compensation depends on experience and includes full benefits.  All full-time employees, working at least 30 hours per week, will be eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment.  ADF offers medical and dental (employer pays 100% of premium for employee and 75% of premium for dependents) and voluntary vision insurance.  Employer provides Long Term Disability and Basic Life Insurance.  Supplemental Term Life and Accident Insurance Benefits are available for minimal cost to employee. ADF offers a Flexible Benefits Spending account for Medical and Daycare. Employee can contribute up to $2600.00 pre-tax dollars for medical and $5000.00 pre-tax for daycare.  Regular full-time employees are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off.  New employees start accruing PTO immediately upon hire and are eligible to use PTO following completion of 30 days of employment.  Union employees start accruing Vacation and Sick Leave immediately. Vacation can be used after one year and sick leave can be used after 6 weeks. ADF International recognizes and is closed for 8 paid holidays during the year.  ADF has established a 401 (k) plan to provide employees the potential for future financial security for retirement and provides matching funds after 6 months of employment.  ADF will match 50% of non-union employee’s contribution up to a max of 5%. ADF contributes .50 per hour worked for union employees to the National Shopmen Pension Fund starting at 960 hours. These funds are used to provide pension benefits for eligible employees
